Pear Tree
It all began with 3 mates from uni, and a dilapidated pear orchid in Marlborough, New Zealand. In 2005 a vineyard was planted, grapes grown, and a new wine born. Certified sustainable vineyards and a minimal intervention approach to winemaking. Mid priced, with an added dimension to the classic Marlborough fame.
Pear Tree 2023 Sauvignon Blanc was awarded Silver Medal at the prestigious New Zealand International Wine Show in September 2023
Mr. Smith
Established in 2010, Mr Smith is a pseudonym for all the different winemakers that contribute to the wines in this range. Our collaborations with various artisans are mostly a side-hustle for them, and as such we can’t reveal their identity or brand affiliation. This anonymity allows us to be experimental, break new ground, be interesting and produce exceptionally good small batch wines that can be produced sustainably. And it allows us to reach the mid-price points, often far below the winemakers usual mark.
Beachwood
If wine could be a vagabond, Beachwood would be it. It is the result of a wide ranging pursuit for authentic growing and winemaking philosophies, a link with the land without being held back by lines on a map. An aspiration for natural, raw and minimalist new-world, food-friendly wines without boarders. Each varietal worth an open minded approach. Currently showcasing a McLaren Vale Chardonnay, Heathcote Shiraz and a sneaky little Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. And when we find more good parcels of wine, you might just see the range expanded.

Miritu Bay
Proof that you can make a beautiful classic Marlborough sauvignon blanc, with certified sustainable vineyards, at a sharp price point. Made for us by a good bugger from across the ditch who also strives for a minimal intervention winemaking. Predominantly an on-premise wine to suit an economical quality house pour.
